A quick note from Uttarpara--my dad's birthplace. After wedding events number 4 and 5, Anirvan and I leave for Mumbai tomorrow. Our flight is at 6 a.m and fog not willing we will reach in time so we can spend a whole day at Sahyog. Neha is at the Hague on a fellowship and Sriram is in Chennai helping with Tsunami relief. They are an important part of Sahyog and of my trip to Mumbai. I will miss seeing them--but then the girls at Sahyog will more then make up for it.
So far the India trip has been great--seeing my brother, meeting A's grandparents was wonderful. We have hardly done anything but eat, sleep and "adda"ing. I am eating fish everyday and loving it and mishti is keeping A happy.
I have ben mostly cut off from television and the internet. I have been reading the newspaper though--cover to cover on most days. Yesterday an ad about emu farming caught my eye. In more serious articles there was one that listed the pledges that had been made by countries in times if disaster but now most of the promises had been broken. Sad but true.
